Design Notes
Something that other teams may want to consider is the length of this part. Along with the other genes we added for outputs (not included here as they are not relevant to the indole sensor), our final block length was longer than 3000bps, meaning that we had to split it up into two sequences to order it from IDT. This complicated our design and building process as we had to manually assemble the two halves of the sequence using PCR, which was quite a finicky process.
